This sale is for an incredible Albert Richard Brown horsehide leather car coat with two front pockets, button cinch belt at back waist on both sides, arm pit ventilation holes, black wool blend lining, button front and button closure at wrists. The front pockets have an a cotton/canvas inner. The sleeves are lined with a black cotton canvas. Fits closest to a men’s small. This jacket was made in the USA between the 30s and late 40s and still has the original Albert Richard tag. Jacket even had a receipt in the pocket that I believe is dated 1942 (I’ll include it within the pocket for you to have). Beautiful quality and construction.
Measurements taken flat in inches:
shoulders (shoulder seam to shoulder seam): 15”
chest (armpit to armpit): 16”
arm (from shoulder seam to wrist): 26”
length (from shoulder to hem): 21.5”
Condition -
This jacket is in solid vintage condition with a normal amount of wear from use including scuffs and creasing here and there. This jacket is as I found it - I have made no attempt at restoration. 95% of the leather is nice, not dried or cracked. The top left sleeve is fairly cracked/flaking. The upper right shoulder has two very small flaking spots. The collar additionally has some cracking/flaking. No repairs, holes, or similar damages. The bottom button is broken but still works - all other buttons are there and in-tact. Leather dark brown in color. Lining is clean and dark with some minor wear and a few small moth holes here and there. The liner in the arms and wrist materials are excellent. Inner pockets are a little dusty/dirty. No bad odor, must etc. This jacket is ready to be worn as-is and will continue to last a long time.
