This is a German motorcycle jacket from the 1930s/1940s, made from a thick horsehide leather which has acquired quite a unique, stunning patina over the years. It is in excellent condition with minor wear throughout, mostly on the collar and cuffs. Please see photos. It is a rugged jacket with many years of life left. Freshly conditioned and ready for a new owner. Not sure who the maker is. There is a tag in the pocket but it is too faded to read. Everything on this jacket is original except for the lining. I had the lining professionally replaced with brown cupro fabric because the old lining was very damaged and stinky. The new lining was attached 100% by hand, is clean and has no odors. The tailor even re-made the chest pocket. No tag size, but would probably best suit a size 38 US. Please see measurements for best fit. Garment Details: - Double breasted asymmetrical zip - Riri Ball and chain brass zips - Internal chest pocket - Elasticated waist Measurements (approx): - Shoulder: 16.75” (seam to seam across top back) - Chest: 20.5” (pit to pit) - Waist: elasticated. Stretches to about 18.5” - Sleeve: 25” (shoulder to cuff) - Back length: 23.75” (bottom of collar to hem) Comes from smoke-free, pet-free home.
