AVIREX A-2 JACKET From 1989, this is an A-2 Jacket made by AVIREX for the U.S. Army Air Force under contract 1978-01 (made in Korea) Exterior leather used to be black, but with all the wear & fading, it almost looks brown in areas. Lining is nylon/acetate with "The Stars and Stripes" embroidered, along with printed "Mother" poem, pin-up girl patch, and "issued in Italy" patch. There are a few tears in the nylon lining. SIZING: Mens Medium Chest: 46" Waist Hem: 36" to 42" Full length, laid flat, from base of collar to bottom hem, taken from the back: 24" Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam: 22" Shoulder Seam to End-of-Sleeve: 24" Middle of shoulder blade to end of sleeve (across middle of the back) - 32" Condition: This vintage jacket has that rare decades-old patina with scuffs, folds, & creases. You can't recreate this age!  Zipper & snaps working good. No holes or cuts in the knit cuff and sleeve ends. Lining has some tears. Please see pictures for more on condition.
