This jacket belonged to a German punk friend of mine who is no longer with us. She loved punk and loved going to punk shows. She painstakingly made the stencils and spray-painted the band logos. She hand-painted the Die Toten Hosen logo on the sleeve. This jacket has been to every mid-eighties through nineties punk rock show in both West and East Berlin. Her family gave me the jacket after she passed away and I've held onto it for twenty-five years. It is time to let it go to the right person. This is a woman's Campri Manx, black leather, motorcycle-type jacket. The size is a 50 but I'm not sure exactly what that means. I do know it fits a large woman (not extra large). The jacket is in very good condition with no rips to the inside lining and no holes in any of the pockets. There is some very light marking to the bottom of the inside lining but could probably be scrubbed out (it's not bad, though). In the photos it looks like the inside of the jacket is discolored but it is just the effect of the sunlight, the inside is a rich red and even color. There are a few studs and ornament here and there (please see photos) but that only adds to the history of this jacket. My friend was very careful in keeping it clean (it was her prized possession); Christiane Felscherinow actually complimented her and told her how much she liked the jacket after one of her Berlin shows.
