Hardcover first edition and first printing of In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. The dust jacket is worn and imperfect. Binding is good. Pages are clean with some toning, no eared or ripped pages and no inscriptions or writing inside book. Hardcover itself is in very good condition with some wear. The original owner placed a name sticker inside the front cover and replaced the original dust jacket with a book of the month club dust jacket as she had two copies and mixed up the dust jackets. The Book Club edition also states first printing but it has a small debossed square or circle on the bottom next to the spine. This book does not have that debossed book of the month marking, which makes it the original printing but with the wrong dust jacket. Book in this exact condition sells for over $200. I have marked it down due to the condition of the dust jacket, wear to hardcover, and incorrect dust jacket on a first printing. Feel free to make me an offer. Harper Collins, Capote's good friend and neighbor, acted as his secretary during his investigations into the tragic murders. This book is the basis for the screen adaptation.
