Here is a painted 1940s Sportclad leather A-2 jacket size 38 that is in overall great condition. The jacket is missing the liner and label but by studying the pocket flap details, Talon bell zipper and overall construction it has been identified as being made by Sportclad around 1947. The leather is still in amazing condition with no cracks or tears, pliable and flexible. I have worn this jacket over the past few years during the winter and it is comfortable and an overall sturdy jacket. The jacket retains its original zipper however there is a slight repair up near the top and the cuffs and waistband have been replaced at some point. This jacket has been hand painted to represent a WWII bomber jacket of an unknown squadron and has a 1940s pin up girl and bombs painted on the back. This is a one off jacket with one off art. The shoulder insignia was a NOS water slide decal that I applied and was dated 1944. Please refer to the photos, they are the best description of the jacket.
