A haori (jacket) that resembles the haori worn by the Shinsengumi. The Shinsengumi were a famous group of samurai that defended the government in the 1860s. This was put out during a TV season in 2004 about the group. This haori is to be worn over a male kimono or can be used just as a light jacket over a shirt. It has the distinctive mountain peaks on the sleeves and around the bottom and is in the group's colors. On the lapels is the group's name and the other writing is a listing of the leadership of the group. This haori is considered a size medium to medium/large. It was bought in Japan in 2004 and has remained in the packaging in storage and in excellent condition. Can be worn around the house or hung as decoration.
