VINTAGE WWII September 27, 1944 LEATHER TRENCH COAT JACKET Army Green WOOL LINED Heavy Lg long
This unique, original, heavy, leather trenchcoat, belong to my husband‘s grandfather. I am not sure where he got it, but it was stored in the closet with other war uniforms and an American and German helmet.
It is in great condition with normal wear to the edges of the leather and scratches, etc..
The wool does not have any moth holes. No holes or rips and is securely attached to the leather.
The sleeves have two buttons at the cuff to adjust the tightness and also the wool lining inside. The sleeve has a tight cuff to eliminate drafts.
The pockets also do not have any holes in them such a quality coat.
It could use a really good oil rub to soften and restore the leather. I did begin to oil parts of it in the middle of photo so you’ll see a little bit of difference between the two, but I didn’t do the whole coat.
Normal wear on the edge of the cuffs and lung the open edges etc. if you wish for more photos just let me know.

Army green WOOL LINED with inside breast pocket. Lining is not removable.
There is a tag on the back of the neck with the size listed 40 x 48.
There’s also a tag in the pocket with more information that has worn away overtime but it has the date September 27, 1944 and a Phila. QM Depot and leather company etc. please see photos of the tags and I also have more I can send you if you need Some different angles of that tag.
Such a great piece of history and a heavy warm leather coat.
Great for a museum display, or historical collection.
