Collectibles / Militaria / WW II (1939-45) / Original Period Items / United States / Uniforms
This vintage WW2 US Army Ike Jacket is a piece of history that any militaria collector would love to add to their collection. Made of high-quality olive green wool, this jacket was worn by a first-class private Airborne soldier in the Airborne 5th. Lots of badges and patches, the gold gun pins indicate calvary. Buckle details on the sides of the waist. Classic design with a shorter cropped length, chest pockets, and buttons down the front. This jacket is an original piece and not a reproduction. It would be a valuable addition to any collection of original period items from WW2. The jacket is in good condition considering its age and has all its original features intact. No missing buttons. Jacket is fully lined. Medium thick wool. There is a moth nibble on the back of the right arm, and another in the front of the jacket in the middle by the placket. There are two moth nibbles on the back, and the six worst are on the right sleeve, please see pictures. Overall, really good, the sleeve is hard to notice. The one on the front of the jacket is the most noticeable. Marked a 36R.
