Vintage GALLOTTI Genuine Vera Pelle LEATHER Coat. Brown exterior and lining. Faux fur, removable collar. Tag is marked Made in Italy, size 50, please see measurements. (My husband tried on this coat and it fits him well. He wears a Large in coats and shirts.) From Boyds, a historic designer wear store in Philadelphia, PA. Button up front. Pockets inside and out. No shoulder pads or back slit.
Measurements from OUTSIDE of coat, laying flat, see photos: around chest (armpit to armpit) is 50", across the shoulders 20.5", length 32.5", sleeve length 24". Measurement taken from INSIDE the coat, laying flat: side seam to side seam, pit to pit, across the back is 23.5". Please compare these measurements to a coat you already own for proper fit.
Condition is very good. This item has been in storage for several years. There are no holes or stains on the outside or inside. The leather is supple, clean, and soft. The lining is also clean. The collar is clean. There is some light pilling on the interior lining.
This is a great coat that will last a lifetime.
Selling for my neighbor who is originally from Philadelphia and the original owner of the coat and states he did not wear it much. Shipping: I am fortunate to live very close to my local post office; however, it is a rural locatoin and only open in the mornings. Often, I am able to ship the same day payment is received. If not, the following business day. I leave town about once a month for a few days (usually an extended weekend). On such occasions, shipping is extended slightly and all purchases will mail out on the first business morning after my return.
