Period
original 1970s era men’s leather jacket made by Pioneer Wear as
part of their “Golden Collection” series. Features a genuine
leather shell and a satin interior. Very soft and light weight
leather – almost like glove leather. Very
durable sewing with some light to moderate wear as evident by one of
the button holes. There are some notable issues though. There is a
small leather tear on left back sleeve as pictures. In addition there
are what I suspect are ink stains all over the jacket but mostly
along the arms. These spots range from .2”-.5” with one longer
one on the left arm measuring about 10” long where something was
spilled on it but not immediately cleaned. The care instructions only
say to take to a leather specialist, so a better solution may be to
have the later portions re-stained black by a professional. It that
nice of a jacket. This
is certainly an occasion jacket since it is very clearly 1970s
based on colors, lapel
size and the pointed flour-d-Le like design accents on the pockets and padded
shoulders. All
original tags present. Please
note that I don’t have space to photograph such a large item on a
regular basis, so I had to use photo stitching software to create the
front and back view from multiple smaller photos. The software may
have introduced errors, but I am not deliberately trying to hide any
possible damage. The
size tag reads R 44. I am not familiar with this size indicator, but
suggest a light to medium build
man under
160lbs with slender shoulders. Marked: “Made in Korea”. S houlder
