the patch was removed long ago -
but this jacket came with a combat shirt with a 101 st airborne division patch -
( and the ‘ ghost ‘ shape of the 101st patch is visible inside the upper shoulder )
The laundry mark inked on the nape is “ H 871 “
and it looks like it had corporal or Sargent stripes at one time -
- maybe this can be traced down to a 101 st airborne division solider !
there is one tiny hole on the left sleeve made when some one removed rank stripe -
( see the photo )
A lose single rank chevron is in one of the pockets
Decent wearable condition
I would guess it is about a modern size 40- 42 jacket
don’t pass it up -
With a little research ( and luck ) you might be able to discover the name of original solider who was issued this historic tunic !
